Premium ride-hailing app for Dubai: from a 3.2 to a 4.6 store rating
A premium taxi app in Dubai with a rating that was holding back growth. Stability, booking flow, and real-time tracking work helped lift the store rating from 3.2 to 4.6.
Our role. Our founder was a core developer on this app as a senior engineer, before founding Tech Insane.
- Client

- UAE

- Services
- Mobile apps (Flutter / iOS), Web platforms
The problem
The app served a premium customer base in Dubai but carried a 3.2 store rating. Reviews pointed to crashes, unreliable live tracking, and friction in the booking flow, which undermined a premium brand promise and made paid acquisition less efficient.
The approach
- Prioritized fixes using crash analytics and review themes rather than opinion.
- Reworked the booking and payment flow to remove steps and failure points.
- Hardened real-time driver tracking and trip-state handling for poor network conditions.
- Introduced release discipline: staged rollouts, crash monitoring, and regression checks before each store release.
